Tallinna Iluuisutamiskool coaches

The Figure Skating School of Tallinn was founded on 1 February 2001. The school was established by three clubs — Kristalluisk, Jääkild and Rataskaar — and from the very beginning developed both single skating and ice dance. Today six clubs belong to the school family, and we guide skaters from their first steps on the ice to the Olympic Games.

Our founder

Irina Kononova

Irina Kononova, single skating master coach and president of IK Kristalluisk, created the Tallinn Figure Skating School and led it for 25 years, from its founding in 2001 until 2026. Under her guidance grew the leaders of Estonian figure skating, among them European Championship silver medallist Aleksandr Selevko, and her working culture and care for every skater remain the school's foundation to this day.

Irina passed away on 17 September 2026. The school carries on the work she began.
